Recently diagnosed? Or not so recently?

A new diagnosis can bring a lot of questions, and it’s normal to feel overwhelmed at first. You don’t need to understand everything right away - in fact, you might not even know what you need to know! We’ll take things at your pace, and help you to build the knowledge and confidence to manage your diabetes over time.

Young adults

Somewhere between your paediatric team and adult healthcare, a lot changes — not just who you see, but how much of this is now on you. That shift can feel sudden, and it doesn't always come with a clear explanation of what's different or what's expected. We're here to help make that transition feel less like a cliff edge, and more like a handover you're genuinely supported through.

Diabetes & pregnancy

Whether you've been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, or you're managing pre-existing diabetes during pregnancy, this is a time when good care matters — for you and your baby. We work alongside your midwife, obstetrician, and GP to make sure your diabetes care and your pregnancy care move in step, not in separate directions.

Diabetes technology

Diabetes technology has come a long way, and the right device can make day-to-day management noticeably easier — but working out what's right for you, getting started, and troubleshooting along the way isn't always straightforward. We support you through all of it, whether you're just starting to explore your options or you've been using a device for years.

Type 2 diabetes remission

For some people living with type 2 diabetes, remission is possible — meaning blood glucose levels return to a non-diabetic range and stay there without needing glucose-lowering medication. It's not guaranteed, and it's not the right goal for everyone, but if it's something you're curious about, we can help you understand whether it might be realistic for you, and what working toward it would actually involve.

Preconception care & family planning

If you're living with diabetes and could become pregnant — whether or not that's something you're actively planning right now — a little preparation ahead of time can make a real difference to your health and any future pregnancy. This isn't just for people trying to conceive; it's worth knowing about if pregnancy is a possibility for you at all, so you're prepared whatever happens.

Prediabetes & prevention

If you've been told you have prediabetes, it can feel like an unclear middle ground — not diabetes, but not nothing either. The good news is that this stage genuinely matters: with the right information and support, it's possible to reduce your risk of progressing to type 2 diabetes, or delay it significantly.

Managing diabetes can feel like something you're doing alone — but you don't have to be. Our group services bring people together for shared learning and genuine peer support, alongside the same evidence-based education you'd get one-on-one, often at a lower cost.
